Most Romantic Proposal Ideas
- Do it with an audience! At the footy, during a party, at a concert or show… this makes for a great surprise and is sure to impress!
- Arrange a flash mob! Ask your local dance studio if they can help – more often than not, they would love to assist!
- Stage something special in a park! In the current climate where social distancing is often required, making an outdoor park extra special is achievable. On a lovely evening, have a picnic set up (there are services around that will do all this for you beautifully) and have an ensemble of musicians appear dressed in formal attire to play for you, with your favourite song. At first your partner may think their appearance is just a coincidence, but soon they’ll realise it’s something extra special you’ve prepared – especially when they notice you down on one knee!
- Involve your kids! Given many people are pairing for a second or third time, often kids are part of the relationship package. So include them! There are lots of ways to do this, including asking them to help decorate the proposal place or even just helping to stage a great photo moment using sparklers to write in light.
- Got pets? Involve them! Of course depending on your pets ability to perform or do tricks, you may just want to tie the engagement ring to your dog’s collar, or get creative with others ways your pet can deliver your proposal ring.
- Propose outdoors! Have a special activity you like to do? Riding the ferry, watching the sun go down at the beach, walking a trail or climbing a mountain? Capitalise on as shared love and create a beautiful moment to remember.
When you propose, we’d love to hear your story!
